After someone slower start 2012 turned out to be one of the best years in the history of VZM. The majority of the activities took place in Sweden and France. Since the end of the summer – after being the VP Technical Operations at Skyways in the first part of the year – Theo Hermans took the role of Technical Director at Amapola Flyg, a Swedish cargo airline operating Fokker 50 aircraft.
A few months earlier VZM was requested to perform the project management for the bundling of the three French regional airlines Airlinair, Brit Air and Régional. Furthermore VZM performed the project management of Transavia France’s growth project. Both a part of Air France Transform 2015 program.
In June VZM organized the successful Diversium Have we found the optimum outsource strategy yet? During this interactive workshop topics around outsourcing and the effect of the latest generation of aircraft were discussed.
In September, after a wet start the weather improved rapidly, making this an excellent day for the VZM Dutch Aviation Open Golf Tournament. Kevin Wall turned out the best and took home the Hans Minnee Challenge Trophy for one year.
