Nowadays outsourcing maintenance is part of the business model for most airlines. But have we found the optimum outsource strategy yet? And what will be the effect of the latest generation of aircraft be? Topics that were discussed during the Diversium  – a kind of interactive workshop – hosted by VZM Management Services on June 12.

Senior leaders from airlines, MROs, OEMs and other industry suppliers attending this event exchanged experiences and discussed how to further improve outsourcing. Phil Maher (Virgin Atlantic Airways Limited) gave a presentation about Virgin’s outsourcing strategy and experiences as introduction for the discussions on the subject.
